FinanceForge ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the measures we take to keep it secure. Our platform is designed with a privacy-first architecture: all financial calculations run entirely within your browser and no financial input data is ever transmitted to or stored on our servers.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide: If you contact us via the Contact page, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message solely for the purpose of responding to your inquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list without explicit opt-in consent.

Automatically Collected Information: We may collect standard server log data including IP addresses, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and pages visited. This information is used exclusively for security monitoring and aggregate traffic analysis. We do not use this data to identify individual users.

Financial Calculator Inputs: All inputs entered into FinanceForge tools (income figures, expense amounts, asset values, etc.) are processed exclusively within your browser using JavaScript. This data is never transmitted to our servers and is never stored, logged, or shared.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

FinanceForge uses minimal first-party cookies necessary for basic site functionality (such as remembering your selected preferences). In addition, we use Google AdSense to display advertisements on this platform. Google AdSense uses cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Google AdSense and the DART Cookie: Google, as a third-party vendor, uses the DART cookie to serve ads to users of FinanceForge based on their visit to our site and other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google Ad and Content Network Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Ad Personalization Opt-Out: You can control the ads Google shows you by visiting adssettings.google.com. To opt out of interest-based advertising from Google and other participating companies via the Network Advertising Initiative, visit optout.networkadvertising.org.

Third-party ad servers or ad networks use technologies such as cookies, JavaScript, or web beacons that are used in their respective advertisements and links that appear on FinanceForge. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. These technologies are used to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and to personalise the advertising content you see. FinanceForge has no access to or control over cookies used by third-party advertisers.

5. GDPR and CCPA Rights

For EU/EEA Residents (GDPR): If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, and port your personal data. You also have the right to object to processing and to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. The legal basis for processing the limited personal data we hold (contact form submissions) is legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry.

For California Residents (CCPA): Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your personal information, the right to opt-out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your CCPA rights. 6. Your Rights and Data Requests

Since we collect minimal personal data, most requests can be fulfilled simply by emailing us at privacy@financeforge.app. We will respond to all verifiable requests within 30 days. For requests related to data processed by our advertising partners, please use the opt-out mechanisms described in Section 3 above.

7. Children's Privacy

FinanceForge is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete such information.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
