Editorial Standards & Advertising Disclosure

How we produce content, how we earn revenue, and the firewall between the two.

Editorial process

Every article and tool documentation page on FinanceForge is researched against primary sources — government tax authorities (IRS, HMRC, CRA, ATO, BMF, AFIP, IRD, BIR), official statistical agencies (BLS, ONS, Eurostat), and peer-reviewed academic publications. Where we cite a regulation or threshold, we link to or reference the original source so readers can verify it.

All content is written and reviewed by the FinanceForge editorial team, which includes contributors with backgrounds in tax compliance, accounting, and personal finance. We do not publish AI-generated content without human research, fact-checking, and rewriting. Articles touching tax law are reviewed against the relevant jurisdiction's current published guidance before each major update.

Update cadence

Tax-related content is reviewed at minimum once per tax year, and immediately when a jurisdiction announces a material change (new bracket schedule, new contribution limit, new compliance regime). Each article displays its last-updated date. Tool calculation logic is updated whenever a covered jurisdiction publishes new rates, with a changelog maintained internally for auditability.

If you find an inaccuracy, please report it through our contact page and we will review and correct it within 5 business days. Corrections that materially change the interpretation of an article are flagged with a visible correction notice at the top of the page.

Advertising disclosure

FinanceForge displays third-party advertising, primarily through Google AdSense. Ad placements are clearly labeled and visually separated from editorial content. We do not accept paid product placements within articles, sponsored editorial coverage, or affiliate links that influence the recommendations our calculators or articles make.

Advertisers do not have editorial input. The FinanceForge editorial team operates with full independence from advertising revenue: ads are served programmatically by Google's auction, we do not pre-approve specific advertisers, and no advertiser receives previews of, or influence over, any article. If we ever introduce affiliate links or sponsored content, those will be unambiguously labeled as such on the page where they appear.

For details on what cookies and identifiers are used to serve ads, see our Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com or optout.networkadvertising.org .

No financial, legal, or tax advice

Nothing on FinanceForge constitutes tax, legal, accounting, or investment advice. Our calculators produce estimates based on the information you provide and the rate schedules we maintain. They are not a substitute for engagement with a licensed tax professional, certified financial planner, or qualified attorney in your jurisdiction.

Tax laws change frequently and individual situations vary. We make every reasonable effort to keep our content accurate and current, but we cannot guarantee that every figure or threshold reflects the latest published guidance at all times. Always verify critical numbers against your jurisdiction's primary source before relying on them for filing decisions.

Reader feedback

We treat reader corrections as one of our most valuable inputs. Whether you spotted an out-of-date threshold, a calculation edge case, or a topic you would like covered, please write to us through the contact page. Substantive feedback that improves the platform is acknowledged in our changelog.

FinanceForge is owned and operated by an independent team. We do not represent any government agency, tax authority, or financial institution. We are not affiliated with the IRS, HMRC, or any other body referenced in our content.
